Sometimes you don’t write for your blog because you have too much to say. Too many ideas, too many directions. It overwhelms you.
Sometimes you just got a Switch 2 and can’t stop playing Pokopia.
Either way, there comes a point where you have to sit down and get it done.
The New Sound is my favourite album of 2024 and I told Sean I’d write about this album as soon as I got the keys to this blog because he's not a big fan of it.
The album moves through a cast of characters who wouldn’t usually have their stories told, at least not like this. It’s stylish, funny, and sex worker–friendly without feeling performative.
En plus, that album cover makes me want to get a new tattoo.
