This is an eerie album. There's no other way to put it. But, it's a fantastic album that features a bunch of artists I really admire. Artists like The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, The Shins' James Mercer, The Strokes' Julian Casablancas, Iggy Pop, and the late, great David Lynch. Not to mention Danger Mouse, who produced the record.
I won't get into it here, but Mark Linkous, the frontman of Sparklehorse, tragically died by suicide on March 6, 2010, — four months before the album's official release.
